Beauty Tips| Why do some perfume last so long?

                     Fragrances are complex mixtures of natural and synthetic chemicals diluted in alcohol. That alcohol is the first thing to evaporate, which is why you should wait a few seconds before smelling a perfume on your skin. Once the alcohol is gone, the scent ingredients known as top, middle, and bottom notes develop. Top notes are fleeting (think citrus) you smell them first and they disappear within a few minutes. Middle notes create the body of the scent and are usually floral or a combo of fruity and floral. Bottom notes  are the fragrance anchors, they’re the heaviest and stick around the longest. These are often woody, smoky, or musky. So if your favorite scent has serious staying power, it probably has more base notes in the mix

1. If you spritzed yourself and you really don't like the scent, how do you get it off without taking a shower?

    Answer: cover the areas where you applied the perfume with a unscented moisturizer to neutralize the  noted and take down the scent. you will remove most of the scent but not erase it entirely unless you wash it clean with soap and water. Another easy solution is hand sanitizer. the alcohol will get rid of the scent. 

    2. I heard that you have to store perfume in a cool place to help it last longer.                                          true?

ANSWER: As hard as it is to show off a pretty bottle, the best for them is inside a drawer or a medicine chest instead of a top of a vanity. warm temperatures or sunshine could alter the ingredients dramatically, creating a completely different aroma. Its better to store it in a dark place it will keep it lively. If you don't wear it everyday try putting in a fridge will last longer. And remember that fragrances typically last about a year before the scents or the liquid starts to change color.
