Is Baby Shampoo Good For Adult Hair?

Most shampoos contain sodium lauryl sulfate which some people find dries out their scalp. Baby shampoo can be smart alternative because it contains amphoteric surfactants, which are milder than SLS. The downside is that baby shampoo doesn't clean as well as shampoo with SLS. So if you use a ton of styling products, you might have to wash multiple times with baby shampoo to get it clean as you would with one lather of an SLS-based products. But that's not such a bad trade-off if your scalp is really parched.

Beauty Tips| Easy Way To Pop A Zit

According to the American Academy of Dermatology, you shouldn't pop pick, scratch, or squeeze pimples, because you can wind up with more inflammation redness, and possible scarring. But if you insist on throwing caution to the wind, here are some tips for minimizing the trauma to your delicate facial skin and helping prevent an infection.

1. Take a warm shower or bath to soften your skin.
2. Wash your face and remove all makeup.
3. Wash your hands to prevent spreading germs and infecting the pimple.
4. Sterilize a needle by washing it with a little dishwashing soap and then dunking it into rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide for 20 seconds.
5. Use the needle to gently prick the white tip of the pimple.
6. Wrap pieces of clean tissue or toilet paper around your index fingers.
7. Gently apply pressure to the sides of the pimple to ease out the pus. Stop when blood or clear fluid comes out.

Before popping a zit, sterilize a needle with dishwashing soap and rubbing alcohol.

Beauty Tips| Get Curled Lashes.

CURL
Start by lining up the eyelash curler as close to your lashline as possible. Holding it parallel to your face, clamp it down at the base of your lashes.

BEND
Continue to gently pulse the curler as you move it up the length of your lashes. Slowly flip the curler so that it's horizontal for a natural bend.

DEFINE
A lash-curling mascara adds lift and definition. Hold the brush at the base of your lashes and blink through it several times to coat lashes from roots to tips.

Ban Coffee Before a Bikini Wax

Consuming more than 150 mg of caffeine sends your nerve endings into overdrive for about two hours, causing a hypersensitive skin state.... And more pain during your Brazilian.

DRY Shampoo! How to:

Once a top secret of professional hairstylists, dry shampoo has hit the mainstream: Sales of the do fresheners have more than doubled at department stores in the past three years. Oil-absorbing powers aside, the pros love it because it doesn't leave strands too soft to hold a style.

Straight Hair
USE DRY SHAMPOO TO..
Keep your strands looking soft and  voluminous. Apply the product and then weave your hair into a low side braid. Pull out a few face-framing strands to make the style sexier.
TRY.....

Lipstick VS. Gloss

The average lipstick stays put for two hours, while gloss can be fleeting.
LIPTIP
BEFORE SMILING FOR THE CAMERA, SWIPE ON A MATTE LIPSTICK. THE FLASH CAN MAKE SHINY GLOSS LOOK HARSH.

The Look
Lipstick: Deeply pigmented, nodoubt-it color. whether you go for a decadent  red ora demure nude, the-coverage effect is ladylike and polished.
Gloss: A single wave of the wand  bestows a juicy, often sheer shade plus a generous dose ofsheen.
Where to Wear it

Lipstick: Ideal  for evening, work, or anytime you want to look put together or done.
Gloss: Weekends and nights out when you'd rather play up your eyes. (smoky lids with bold lips looks a little too beauty queen-ish.)

Pout Perks
Lipstick: Precise application ensures that your mouth looks defined-a bonus as you get older and lips become less pronounced.
Gloss: The sheer stuff makes your pucker appear fuller. Just a dab of clear gloss on the center of your bottom lip creates a voluptuous effect.

Durability
Lipstick: The average lipstick stays put for two hours, less if  you're sipping lattes (steamy drinks melt away color-binding waxes) or devouring potato chips (greasy foods require mouth wiping)
Gloss: Gloss is fleeting, but not all formulas have wanderlust. For extra insurance suggest moisturizing your lips balm before topping them with
gloss.

Worst place to get a Pimple..!

I have a pimple in the stupidest location right now: on the, like, top ridge of my nose, right next to my eyebrow. But while this is an annoyingly central, focal point of a location, I would not classify it as the worst possible place to get a pimple. No, that honor goes to the edge of the lip.

At least in my opinion, that's the worst possible place to get a pimple. It just has to be the most painful--other than maybe the crevice of the nose--and a pimple anywhere near your mouth always risks resembling a cold sore, which will of course prompt the inevitable herpes jokes from friends. A lip pimple is also basically un-coverable, since any concealer you apply will come off should you apply lipstick or lip balm, or you know, eat/drink anything at all. It's also basically un-poppable because doing so is just too excruciatingly uncomfortable.

Natural Beauty Tips

Sleeping on your back will prevent many wrinkles and breakouts on your face, and even wrinkles in your cleavage area.
  • Wearing clothes that are tight make you look heavier. Even a slim girl can bulge over too-tight jeans.
  • Put on a coat of clear nail polish before a colored polish to keep your nails from discoloring.
  • Being angry really does take away from your beauty now and will result in more wrinkles later.
  • Wearing less make-up makes you look younger.
  • Vitamins and minerals are needed for health and beauty, but more is not always better. Too much Vitamin A or Selenium can cause hair loss. There is nothing beautiful about losing your hair.
  • If you are unhappy with a hair conditioner, it will still make a great "shaving cream" for your legs in the shower.
  • When shaving, don't stretch the skin or you could cause ingrown hairs by shaving hair off slightly under the skin.
  • Drink plenty of water and get eight hours of sleep every day.
  • Tighten bra straps as they stretch out, or buy a new bra when they can't tighten any further, to keep the bosom looking young and perky.
  • Instead of shaving over and over, with the hairs coming in darker and thicker each time, try waxing. Waxing to remove hair will result in softer hairs each time and result in permanent hair loss after a few sessions. Aussie Nad's is an all-natural product which is easy to use.
  • Sleeping on two or three pillows at a time, or putting a wedge pillowpillow by Hudson - CC3015WQC/1 under your regular pillow will help get rid of dark circles under your eyes.
  • Exercise while dieting is a must or your skin will be too large (and saggy) for your smaller body. It is much, much tougher to tighten skin after your body shrinks than as you go.
  • After washing your face, rinse in cold water (fair-skinned people should use cool instead of cold) to close the pores and tighten the facial muscles.
  • If you are out of quick-dry spray for nails, dip your fingers into a bowl of ice-cold water. (Don't to touch the sides of the bowl.) Your nails will dry very quickly.
  • Good posture can make you look much slimmer.
  • Wearing a low heel will give you better posture than wearing flat shoes.
  • Wearing very high heels too often will give you a masculine, muscular calf instead of a feminine, rounded calf.
  • Renew thick nail polish by adding a few drops of fingernail polish remover to the bottle.
  • Make a nail polish bottle not get stuck closed, put a thin coat of Vaseline inside the lid.
  • Clean hair brushes occasionally with dish soap and borax. In a dishpan of very warm water, add 1/2 cup of borax and a few drops of liquid dish soap. Swish the brushes to stir, rinse, and let air dry. Scrub any stubborn spots with a used toothbrush.

How To Clean You MAKEUP Brushes!

Now think about when the last time was when you cleaned your makeup brushes. Cleaning our makeup brushes after use probably isn’t on the top of every woman’s “must do” list. As a matter of fact, a lot of women allow their makeup brushes to get to the point where they clean them only when the makeup is caked on (FYI: this is far past the point of when the brushes should have been cleaned!).
Makeup brushes contain bacteria which, if not cleaned, will only continue to build and build to the point where you may be doing a lot of damage to your skin. It’s essential that makeup brushes are cleaned and disinfected on a daily basis; otherwise you may be faced with a lot of skin and health issues.
To properly disinfect and clean your makeup brushes, you will need a few things:
  • Antibacterial soap (this is a must!)
  • A small dish or a bowl
  • A couple of hand towels
You can also choose to purchase more “professional” cleansing products, such as 99% alcohol, a professional brush cleaner or a disinfectant, but these are not necessary.

Step 1: Make sure that the water that you have running is warm. Wet your brush while making sure that you are keeping the bristles pointing downwards. This will help keep water out of the handle and the glue which is essential as water causes for the brushes to break down and need to be replaced more frequently.

Step 2: Take some anti-bacterial soap and squirt some into your hand. Take your brush with the other hand, and then move the bristles of the brush around in a swirling motion. Using your fingers, massage the soap into the bristles from tip to tip.

Step 3: Now it’s time to rinse! Turn on the warm water and then gently squeeze out the soap from the hairs at the top of the brush to the very tip. If you notice that your brush is still releasing makeup residue, repeat step 2 until the water rinses clean. Pat your brushes dry with a towel.

Step 4: To really clean your brushes well, take any of the optional products mentioned above and pour it into a dish. Dip the tips of the bristles into the cleaning product so that the product reaches half way up the bristles. Do not dip all the way up to the top of the brush as the hairs will naturally move the product upwards. Swirl the brush on a small towel, and then dip the brush once again into the disinfectant.

Step 5: Once finished, take care to reshape the bristles into place and lay the brushes out on a clean towel. Wait until they are fully dry before you pack them into your makeup kit once again

3 New Ways to Keep Teeth White!
